Update, July 24: Google has now acknowledged the problems raised by Google Home users below. In two posts on X, Anish Kattukaran (Chief Product Office for Google Home and Nest said Google wants to "sincerely apologize for what you're experiencing and feeling" and is "committed to getting this right".
