Former MP Andrew Bridgen’s libel claim against Matt Hancock can go to trial, a High Court judge has ruled as she refused the former health secretary’s bid to end the claim.

Mr Hancock, who was Conservative health secretary from 2018 to 2021 during the Covid-19 pandemic, is being sued by the former North West Leicestershire MP.
