Andreas Christensen final contract demands revealed as Chelsea complete first January transfer

Here are your latest football.london Chelsea morning headlines on Sunday, January 23.

Andreas Christensen's final contractual demands revealed

Bayern Munich bosses had a meeting with Andreas Christensen’s representatives in December to express their interest in the Chelsea defender, according to German outlet Sport1.

Interestingly, instead of Antonio Rudiger, a Germany international, Bayern are reportedly monitoring Christensen as a potential replacement for Niklas Sule who will also be a free agent at the end of the season.

Sport1 claims that the Bundesliga champions were in contact with Christensen’s representatives last month.

As it stands, the report added, the Denmark international has not ruled out extending his Chelsea contract, but he is also looking for a pay rise, the Chelsea Chronicle have reported.

He is reportedly among the lowest earners in the current Chelsea squad with a pre-tax weekly salary of €100,000 (£84,000)-per-week.

The report further added that the 25-year-old wants to double his salary which would see him earn almost €10million (£8.4million)-per-year.

Chelsea's first January signing confirmed

Chelsea have completed the signing of Derby youngster Dylan Williams after the left-back announced the deal on his Instagram account.

The Blues have solved the left-back issue in their academy squad, whilst the same conundrum remains in the first team roster with Emerson Palmieri still no closer to being recalled from his Lyon loan, football.london understands.

Williams, 18, has made eight appearances so far for the Rams this season and was missing from their matchday squad for the Nottingham Forest loss in the Saturday lunch-time kick-off.

Now the suspense is over for both set of fans, as the 18-year-old has confirmed the transfer from the east Midlands to west London on his Instagram account: @dylanwilliams_.

His message read: 'Wow.

'I am absolutely delighted to have signed for one of the biggest clubs in the world.'

Chelsea loanee Armando Broja outlines priorities amid Southampton transfer rumours

Chelsea loan striker Armando Broja outlines his priorities after his latest performance in Southampton's battling 1-1 draw with Man City amid constant Saints transfer talk.

Broja, 20, was one of the main contenders for man of the match for Ralph Hasenhuttl's men who had to battle hard to a well earned and deserved second draw of the season against Pep Guardiola's side, having held them to a 0-0 draw at the Etihad earlier on in the season.

"I thought I was a little bit unlucky with some of them, the offside goal obviously," Broja reflected on his disallowed goal to Sky Sports.

"I was looking at the line when I made my run so I thought I was just onside but I think it was a few yards or something, quite small margins."

Carlo Ancelotti sends Chelsea Eden Hazard transfer message as Real Madrid star's future decided

Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti has sent a clear transfer message to Chelsea regarding the future of Eden Hazard, who has been linked with a return to Stamford Bridge this month.

The Blues sold the Belgian superstar to Madrid in 2019 for £130 million, but he has suffered a series of injury issues since, never getting close to the level he consistently reached in South West London.

Due to his struggles, links have emerged suggesting Hazard could return to Chelsea, with newfound Premier League big spenders Newcastle United also rumoured to be interested in bringing the 31-year-old back to the English league.

However, Ancelotti has made it clear that Hazard is a part of his plans at the Bernabeu, despite his recent difficulties.

"Hazard is in our plans for the next season, I can confirm," Ancelotti said, as reported by Fabrizio Romano on Twitter.
