Mistakes were made, Leeds United paid the price and Andrea Radrizzani has apologised in his first comments since agreeing to sell the club. Last week, the Whites announced 49ers Enterprises had struck a deal with Aser Ventures for the 56 per cent majority stake it owned.
Radrizzani had not said anything publicly about Leeds since that news broke last week. During a flurry of Twitter activity after positive developments with his Sampdoria project, the Italian replied to one well-wishing Leeds fan.
United’s outgoing chairman reflected on the golden years under Marcelo Bielsa until his sacking, at Radrizzani’s hands, in February 2022. Radrizzani also apologised for disappointing the fan base.
