Anderson Cooper says goodbye to 60 Minutes with final plea for CBS News show

Anderson Cooper has said goodbye to 60 Minutes with a final plea over the future of the popular CBS News show.

On Sunday (17 May), the 58-year-old broadcaster delivered his last address to viewers.

He described how much he will miss the show, which he has hosted since 2006.

“I hope 60 Minutes remains 60 Minutes,” he remarked. “There’s very few things that have been around as long as 60 Minutes that have maintained the quality.”

Whilst he said he thinks change and growth are “awesome”, he added that he “hopes that the core of what 60 Minutes is always remains”.
