A YouTuber from America posted a video detailing his experience in Edinburgh’s underground vaults, claiming he was targeted by a ghost.
Seth Borden, who posts weekly videos on his account, describes his content as the ‘realest and scariest ghost hunting series on YouTube.’ Along with his camera crew, Seth is taken into the vaults by one of the experienced tour guides.
The footage starts off normal enough, with the group being shown the variety of torture items held by the Edinburgh Vaults. They’re soon taken deeper into the chambers, and shown areas such as coven meeting spots and the ‘slums’ down under.

Before long, it starts to get a bit darker. After the tour guide warns the group of people’s changes in behaviour in the vaults, and mysterious goings on - the host claims to hear a woman’s voice.

One of the cameramen soon notices his camera is beginning to malfunction. We then discover the whole group has agreed to be locked in one of the areas overnight, not coming out until 6am.
Seth tells the group: “We’re investigating one of the most haunted places in the UK, and potentially the world.”
More equipment begins to stop working, with lights failing to switch on and cameras continuing to act strangely. The group asks any spirits to come forward, before they all hear footsteps.
Seeking to speak with ‘The Watcher’, they ask if the noises are him. Apparently a tall, imposing man with a dirty coat and leather boots - The Watcher is supposedly a ghost who gets a bit sick of strangers intruding in his space, and may have been a guard or thief in the 18th century.
The tour guide says: “If this is The Watcher, you know what to do.
“Rattle the gates, throw something… If we’re intruding, do what you normally do and chase us out.”
While he doesn’t seem to respond in real time, the group replay a recording where a voice seems to reply: “Get out.”

The tour guide then leaves the group alone, where they get out some more equipment hoping to catch out the supposed spirits. They all move onto a final room, and ask the ‘ghost’ to enter the middle of the room.
Seth finally feels the need to leave, claiming to have a pounding chest and a wave of nausea. Back under normal lighting, they realise one of the cameramen then notices he has a scratch on his face.
Unsurprisingly, this isn’t the first time visitors to the Edinburgh Vaults have claimed to have fallen victim to what lurks beneath. In 2006, a cameraman for the TV series Most Haunted said he was attacked by spirits during filming.
Stuart Torvell was left with scratches on his back after the incident, with the show forced to cut the scene.
