Amazon documentary reveals Camilla's secret private jet trips during affair with Charles

A new documentary set to air on the day of King Charles coronation will expose the secret overseas affair he and Camilla had before Princess Diana died.

Airing on Amazon this Saturday, 'My King Charles' will hear about the couple would secretly rendezvous between 1981 to 2000 without the press knowing.

Details are revealed by Squadron Leader Graham Lane, who was the King's personal pilot, and had inside knowledge of the overseas visits, the MailOnline reports.

He said: "They were getting together overseas but the Press didn’t cotton on."

Another contributor to the documentary, My King Charles, claims Diana had an affair with a bodyguard and flew into a rage when he was transferred to other duties.

Based at RAF Northolt, Mr Laurie was one of man pilots in London who clocked up more than 2,000 Royal flights between 1981 and 2000.

Most were with Charles, but he was also responsible for bringing home Diana's body after she died in 1997.

He told the documentary: "As regards Camilla, I didn’t ever fly her but we did see her involvement in certain trips when we went abroad.

"There would be a civilian charter aircraft on the tarmac before we got there and it was still there when we left. I found out afterwards that actually Camilla had flown in and out on that aircraft."

Insiders at US broadcaster Paramount said Mr Laurie didn't know who paid for Camilla’s flights on the private jet.

At least one was made in 1994 when Camilla was still married to Andrew Parker Bowles and King Charles had yet to divorce.

The programme will also hear from former Royal protection officer Allan Peters, who recalls his experience of dealing with an angry Diana when he tried to stop an alleged affair with bodyguard Barry Mannakee.

"I was in my office at Kensington Palace and she was in the doorway throwing her shoes at the back of my head, upset, because she was putting the blame on me.," he said.

At the time, Sgt Peters worked for Diana while Mannakee was assigned to her sons, William and Harry, who was then only a one-year-old.

He added: "I started to notice her conduct in the presence of Mannakee getting more and more strange... As far as I could ascertain they were having an affair."

He said Diana went crazy after Mannakee – who died in a motorcycle accident in 1987 – was moved to other duties.

Sgt Peters added:"She was distraught. I can categorically say that the first person that strayed in the marriage was the Princess."
