Amad and two other Manchester United forwards ‘set for loans’ and more transfer rumours

Manchester United are reportedly willing to allow three forwards to go out on loan for a second season in a row. Restocking midfield is Erik ten Hag’s main aim but he also wishes to bring in an attacking reinforcement this summer. Darwin Nunez was snatched from United’s sight while a potential deal for Antony has gone quiet.

Cristiano Ronaldo had an individually superb homecoming season last term, netting 24 goals. But United lacked potency when he was off the pitch or unavailable.

Despite Ten Hag’s desire for forward back-ups, the club are said to be open to allowing three strikers to leave on loans. Forbes claims Tahith Chong, Facundo Pellistri and Amad Diallo could enjoy spells away from Old Trafford yet again.

Amad Diallo had a rough first few months of his January loan spell at Rangers. He played no part in their journey to the Europa League final but lifted the Scottish Cup after being handed more minutes towards the end of the season.

Meanwhile, 20-year-old Pellistri was largely benched by Spanish side Alaves in the second half of the season after failing to impress amidst regular game time during the first half.

Chong had a frustrating time on loan at Birmingham last season. The 22-year-old was a regular for the Blues until a severe groin injury sidelined him for four months before he suffered another setback during the run-in.

However, he has reportedly still managed to show enough quality to impress Feyenoord. United are about to wrap up a deal for Tyrell Malacia and the Dutch club, in turn, are in talks with Chong, so says 1908.nl.

Chong has played 16 first team games for United, grabbing two assists, but is yet to score.
