Allowing Trump to use UK bases is ‘putting British lives in danger’, top Iran official warns

Iran’s foreign minister has said Keir Starmer is "putting British lives in danger" by allowing Donald Trump the use of UK military bases during the Iran war.
Abbas Araghchi warned Iran would exercise its right to self-defence as a result.
In a post on social media, he said Starmer is “ignoring his own people” as “vast majority of the British People do not want any part in the Israel-U.S. war of choice on Iran”.
The decision followed a UK government meeting on Middle East developments.
Downing Street insisted any such action would be "collective self-defence" and would not draw the UK into a wider conflict.
