There's a brand new AA Restaurant Guide out for 2023 and 61 Welsh establishments have gained and maintained a place in the prestigious tome, which highlights the brilliant places to dine in the country.
Gwynedd has been revealed as one of the top UK destinations for foodies in Wales, with nine restaurants featured in the guide – including Pale Hall Hotel & Restaurant in Bala, Penmaenuchaf Dolgellau in Dolgellau and Porth Tocyn Hotel in Abersoch.
Meanwhile, Conwy has 11 restaurants featured in the prestigious guide – including Bodysgallen Hall and Spa in Llandudno, Brasserie 1786 in Abergele and Signatures Restaurant in Conwy, while The Jackdaw is making its debut in the Restaurant Guide as new additions to this year.

Pembrokeshire also has nine entries including Narberth's The Fernery and Blas in St Davids. Elsewhere, The Grove in Narberth received the accolade of five AA Red Stars - the organisation's supreme accolade for hotels.
Now in its 29 th edition, The Restaurant Guide 2023 provides food lovers with breakdowns of restaurants by county, including a detailed description of each destination, information on latest chef changes, opening times, sample menu prices and images of many of the featured locations. Simon Numphud, managing director of AA Media, said: “We are delighted to publish the leading guide to the UK’s top dining destinations, with 150 new establishments added to The Restaurant Guide 2023.
