Liverpool have been sent a warning over contract negotiations with Mohamed Salah after the departure of Sadio Mane.
The Reds’ famed front three has now been split up after it was confirmed that Mane had left the club to move to Bayern Munich last week. Liverpool agreed a £35million deal for the Senegal international who had one year left on his contract.
Salah, like Mane before his move, has one year left on his current deal at Anfield. Liverpool and the Egyptian’s representatives have been locked in negotiations for several months and are yet to reach an agreement.

Former Premier League goalkeeper Paul Robinson admits he is concerned about Liverpool’s future plans after letting Mane leave the club and with Salah’s contract talks lingering on. The ex-Tottenham stopper believes that Salah has “more leverage” with his negotiations after seeing Mane depart.
“Definitely,” Robinson told Football Insider, when asked if Salah is now in the driving seat with contract negotiations.
“I still cannot understand the Mane deal. He was at one of the biggest clubs in the world. One of the best supported clubs in the world and was challenging for the Premier League and the Champions League. I just cannot get my head around the deal.
“It gives Salah more leverage in his contract negotiations, that’s for sure. Liverpool cannot afford to lose both of them in a short space of time.
“Yes, they have Diaz, [Diogo] Jota and Nunez but that would be a complete transformation of the front three. All of a sudden, from being a team that is challenging for every trophy Liverpool could become a team in transition.
“The club cannot afford to let Salah go.”
