Both of the candidates running in the November 8, 2022, general election for Alabama Auditor —Andrew Sorrell (R) and Leigh LaChine (L)—completed Ballotpedia’s Candidate Connection survey. The Alabama State Auditor is a state executive position in the Alabama government. The auditor is responsible for reporting “receipts and disbursement of every character, all claims audited and paid out, and all taxed and revenues collected” to the governor.
