Aligarh: Five men sentenced to death, one to life imprisonment for 2015 double murder

AGRA: Five people were sentenced to death and one to life imprisonment by the additional district and sessions judge on Monday for murdering two persons over a land dispute in Aligarh in 2015.

Additional district and sessions judge Rajesh Bhardwaj also imposed a fine of Rs 3000 each on Ehsan (32), Asif Thakur (38), and Rs 4000 each on Kafeel (28), Vakeel (28), and Bhura (30). They were charged under section 302 (murder), 149 (Every member of unlawful assembly guilty of offence committed in prosecution of common object) and 120 B (criminal conspiracy) of IPC.
