Alfredo Morelos 'torn' over 2 Rangers exit destinations as Galatasaray 'admit defeat' in striker hunt

Alfredo Morelos is set to choose between Sevilla and Aston Villa this summer, according to reports in Spain.

The striker is out of contract at Rangers in just a few weeks’ time and it is increasingly unlikely that he’ll pen a new one to extend his stay at Ibrox. The La Liga outfit have been long time admirers of the Colombian, and while rumours of a pre-contract agreement having been signed were rubbished by Michael Beale, their interest has always lingered in the background and they've been touted as his most likely option for a while now.

Villa have emerged more recently as potential suitors. Unai Emery replace Morelos’ former Gers boss Steven Gerrard earlier this season and has been linked with a move for El Bufalo this summer as he looks to put his own stamp on the Villains squad. Turkish giants Galatasaray have also been linked but have admitted defeat in their attempts to lure the player to Turkey, according to claims by Estadio Deportivo.

They say that Morelos is yet to make up his mind between a switch to Spain or England. However, the money on offer in Birmingham is likely to be higher than in Seville. The lack of a language barrier may also prove tempting, although Emery’s presence at Villa Park would negate that issue slightly if he were to head south.
