Sunderland new boy Alex Bass has vowed to push Anthony Patterson for the number one spot after signing for an undisclosed fee. The 24-year-old has signed an initial three-year deal with the club having the option of an additional year.
The Portsmouth academy graduate has struggled for game time at Fratton Park but is looking forward to taking a step out of his comfort zone after signing for the Black Cats.
