File this under news no one saw coming. Alberta Ferretti just presented her Spring 2025 collection in Milan and now comes word that she's stepping down form her position as creative director. Fortunately, her departure doesn't signal the end of the fashion house.
The brand will continue and Ferretti is handpicking her successor, ensuring the legacy lives on. The designer, 74, has given us over four decades of dazzling designs. So we're confident whomever she picks will continue the brand's tradition of providing timeless creations. She'll still be involved to some degree as Aeffe announced Ferretti will be staying on as vice president of the fashion group. So she's technically not retiring, thank goodness.
Stay tuned to see which designer is selected to take over the creative director role. Thanks to a still ongoing game of designer musical chairs, there are lots of great options out there.
