Alan Forrest completes Hearts move after Livingston contract comes to an end

Winger Alan Forrest has left Livingston and signed for Premiership rivals Hearts on a two-year deal.

The 25-year-old spent two seasons at the Tony Macaroni Arena and amassed 10 goals in 66 league appearances with the Lions and was the club's second highest scorer this season as he fired home seven goals across all competitions.

Forrest, who was also wanted by Dundee United, moves on a free transfer after his contract with the Lions expired and will get to sample European football with the Tynecastle side.

Speaking to the club's official website, Hearts boss Robbie Neilson said: We're delighted to get Alan on board. We watched his performances for Livingston last season and were really impressed. His development over the last 18 months has been excellent, and we knew we wanted him pretty quickly.

"He's quick, direct, and will offer a real threat going forward. Very pleased to have him here."
