Ajax manager breaks Timber silence
New Ajax manager Alfred Schreuder has confirmed that he expects Manchester United transfer target Jurrien Timber to stay at the Johan Cruyff Arena this summer.
Timber, as revealed by the Manchester Evening News earlier this month, has been placed at the very top of United's wish list as they look to strengthen their defensive options. He was excellent for Ajax last season, scooping their Young Talent of the Year award, and Reds manager Erik ten Hag is keen to be reunited with him at Old Trafford.

United want to try and cut their cloth accordingly at centre-back before drafting in any new faces for that area of the team, but have set their sights on Timber as their main target. The 21-year-old, who can operate at both right-back and centre-back, is considered as one of the best, young defenders in Europe.

United's goalkeeper stance revealed
Nottingham Forest have provisionally agreed a deal to sign United goalkeeper Dean Henderson on a season-long loan.
Henderson, 25, is on honeymoon after getting married and is due to have a medical when he returns to complete the transfer.
Newcastle were interested in Henderson and the England international held such encouraging talks he hoped to secure a move to St James' Park in May. Henderson was then dropped from the United squad for their final game of the season at Crystal Palace.
