British pop superstar Adele has revealed the reason why she won’t move back to the UK.
The London-born singer, 35, has lived in Los Angeles since 2016. The Hello hitmaker previously said she made the move to get more property for her money.
Despite now being worth in the region of £146 million, Adele has said she still won’t relocate back to her home country - naming the great British weather as a major reason behind wanting to stay put.
Adele told The Hollywood Reporter: “I get really bad seasonal depression, so the weather is good for me. It is strange sometimes, because I’m very British.
“Because it’s a bit harder for me to go out nowadays, what I love the most about LA is everyone goes to each other’s houses. I like that.”
Adele has previously told British Vogue that she bought three properties in Beverley Hills rather than splashing out in her home city London as she could afford more in America.
“The kind of house I have in LA I could never afford in London. Ever,” the singer said.
Adele said the comparable houses in the UK would have cost “hundreds of millions of pounds. I don't have that much money at all. I'd throw up”.
Speaking to the Hollywood Reporter, Adele gave an insight into her relationship with sports agent Rich Paul, 41, who she has been linked to since summer 2021.
It came two years after she split from ex-husband Simon Konecki, with whom she shares son Angelo, 10.
Last month she attended an NBA basketball game with Paul wearing what many speculated to be a wedding ring.
It was previously reported the pair were engaged after Adele was spotted with a large diamond on her finger. Sources in April then claimed the pair were planning a summer wedding.
Fans were delighted earlier this week when the singer reportedly confirmed she and Paul have tied the knot, during an appearance at her friend Alan Carr's comedy show in Los Angeles.
Speaking about her relationship, Adele said: “Rich and I have always known everything about each other since the day we got together.
“Richard does [listen to my music], it drives me insane. And it's funny because in my car with my driver, he knows if my song comes on, he has to turn the radio, just turn it off. I don't like it at all.”
Meanwhile, the singer said she was keen to try her hand at acting - but added there was only one role she’d take and it was yet to be written.
She said: “There is one movie I want to do, but the guy whose movie it would be, he’s not mentally ready to write the script for it.
“I bug him every now and then about it, but he’s just not there yet. But that’s the only role I ever want, because I think I’d nail it.”
