Adam Azim went 8-0 in his professional boxing career with a unanimous decision win over Nicaraguan fighter Santos Reyes inside Wembley Arena.
The Assassin both scored an early knockdown and won every round in a dominant performance though the previously undefeated Reyes refused to be put away, largely thanks to his tight guard.
All three judges scored it 100-89 in Azim’s favour.
For the first time in his career, the 20-year-old went further than three rounds, gaining invaluable experience inside the ring as he displayed the kind of speed, precision and style to have garnered so much attention thus far.
Azim was perhaps guilty of stopping short in his combination work, failing to throw more than one or two punches at a time and was slightly susceptible to a left hand from Reyes.
Still, the fight – and the WBA Continental light-welterweight title – was won in relatively comfortable fashion as excitement around the prospect grows.
