The AA has issued travel advice for drivers amid predictions of snow in the UK next week. The weather is expected to turn cold next week and there is a possibility of snow in Nottingham.
Apple's weather app predicts snow could hit as early as Monday, January 16, however, there is no sign yet in Met Office predictions and the BBC long-range forecast suggests there could be snow on Thursday, January 19. Due to the snow and icy weather conditions, the AA has warned for people to take extra precautions.
This includes only travelling if essential in the worst affected areas, as roads could be hazardous. Sean Sidley, AA patrol of the year, says: “If you do need to travel, reduce your speed to account for the conditions and leave plenty of space behind other vehicles.
