A Place In The Sun home hunters called it quits on a property based entirely on the exterior.
Craig Rowe pulled out all the stops around Los Alcazares on Spain’s Costa Calida to find Diane and John from Derbyshire their dream holiday home. Having ventured there before they decided it was the right time to buy their very own property there.
With a budget of £180,000, they were keen to find a spacious two-bedroom property with a balcony to take in the view. The first home they were shown went down well as the pair admitted Craig set the standard high.

Their second viewing wasn't as much of a hit as John refused to consider it based solely on the exterior. With a large supermarket on their doorstep and a busy main road not too far away, they seemed discouraged from the start.
Diane said: "I think the road is too narrow and it seems a little bit tight."
John added: "It's not what we are looking for."
Eventually shown around the property, they admitted they were fans of the modern decor and well-lit rooms. Though spacious, they said it wasn't good enough and it was unlikely they would make an offer. On the market for £153,000, the couple agreed the lower price tag couldn't sway their minds.
John and Diane found their dream home in the form of a four-bedroom apartment they said had everything they were looking for. The stunning property included ocean views with a sandy beach just metres away from their doorstep and, after the owner rejected their initial offer, they signed the deal with a price tag of £143,000.
