A new 24 hour gym could be developed in Clydesdale

A planning application has been submitted to South Lanarkshire Council to convert a Clydesdale retail store into a 24 hour gym.

The application to develop a 24 hour gym at 60 Main Street in Douglas was received on July 6 and validated today (July 26).

Plans include a cardio room, crossfit studio, weights room and a changing area with showers.

The current building was a former grocery shop and isn’t in use.

There are three car parking spaces which will be available to gym goers if approved.

The applicant has carried out a noise assessment for the proposed premises.

Neighbourhood consultation is yet to be carried out as well as standard consultation.

The deadline for determining the application is September 25.
