Officials plead not guilty in ‘vote harvesting’ election probe

Nine people have pleaded not guilty to vote harvesting amid a widening elections investigation in a rural Texas county.

The defendants, who include a former mayor and city council member, as well as the chief of staff to a state representative, appeared Wednesday at a hearing in Pearsall, Texas.
