In early 2025, French president Emmanuel Macron announced that the cost of the Louvre Museum’s upcoming restoration would be funded by higher admission prices, and last week the new rates were introduced.

From last Wednesday, January 14, the Louvre began a new pricing structure that means admission for most non-Europeans now stands at €32 euros (£27), up from the previous €22 (£19).
