Why Daytime Symptoms Get Dismissed
Waking up tired after what felt like a full night's sleep is easy to blame on stress, a late screen, or a heavy meal. Sleep apnoea works by fragmenting sleep at the level of individual breaths, the airway collapses briefly, oxygen drops, the brain rouses just enough to restart breathing, and the cycle repeats dozens or hundreds of times a night. The person rarely wakes fully and rarely remembers any of it. What they carry into the morning is the damage: a body that spent the night in low-level emergency mode rather than recovery.
