The 49ers are down a running back. Jeff Wilson Jr. has been ruled out with an ankle injury.
Wilson hasn’t played on offense so the injury occurred on special teams. He was the 49ers’ lead back late in the year when Elijah Mitchell was out, but his role on offense has disappeared since Mitchell’s return.
