BENGALURU: Three persons have been arrested for allegedly storing ganja in an under-construction room and supplying it to several peddlers in the city.
The accused are Samarakara, 22, Ramesh Khemundi, 25, and Mangul Sisa, 20, all from Koraput in Odisha.
Ganja weighing 290kg and worth Rs 1.4 crore has been seized from them. Police said the trio used to smuggle the drug from Naxalite-affected areas in Odisha and Andhra Pradesh. They found an under-construction room near Nagawara to store it.
Police received information about a gang using the room and rushed to the spot on Thursday. They seized 290kg of ganja before arresting the three men.
