Like all the best streaming services, Prime Video is constantly bringing us new TV shows and movies each and every week, meaning the weekend is often the best time to get caught up on some of the latest and greatest additions.
If you're looking to skip the endless scrolling and just want some quick streaming suggestions, I've got your back. Each week, we curate a quick list of three recent additions to Prime Video's streaming library that we think deserve a spot on your watchlist.
Among this week's recommendations are a new comedy-drama-thriller from Oscar winner Riz Ahmed, the new season of "Jury Duty" and a recently-added 2000s box set that comes well-recommended. Find out more about all three new to Prime Video TV shows below.
'Bait'
If you read my "Bait" review earlier this week, you'll know that I was a big fan of Riz Ahmed's new Prime Video comedy-drama. This is a layered, genre-bending six-part series that you could easily watch in one sitting. And, given how engrossing this story is, I'm confident that if you check it out, you'll want to see it through.
If you're yet to dive in, "Bait" revolves around struggling British actor Shah Latif (Ahmed), whose life could well be set to change forever. When we meet him, he's landed the audition of a lifetime: he has a shot at being the next James Bond. When word breaks that Latif might be the next actor to don 007's tux, his life quickly starts to unravel. Across four wild days, we follow as his life spirals and see his family, ex-lover, and the entire world offer their verdict on whether he's the man for the job. It's bold, funny, and should make for a brilliant binge-watch this weekend.

'Jury Duty Presents: Company Retreat'
Amazon's hilarious reality hoax is back for more hijinks, and it just might be even funnier than before. Last time out, the "Jury Duty" jokesters struck comedy gold by dropping an average Joe into a fake jury trial, and in "Company Retreat," they're putting another unsuspecting participant in the spotlight for a season that TG's Kelly Woo called "cringier, more chaotic, and somehow just as charming as the original" in her "Jury Duty Presents: Company Retreat" premiere review.
This time out, Anthony lands a real temp gig at a not-so-real hot sauce brand —Rockin' Grandma's Hot Sauce — and he attends the annual company retreat only to find things are getting very messy. This is CEO Doug's final retreat, and his son's struggling to prove he's up to the challenge of taking over, and a private equity firm's sniffing around for company acquisition, too. The first five episodes are now available to stream; the final three drop next Friday, meaning now's a perfect weekend to get caught up.

'The Shield'
If you're looking instead to dip into an older series this weekend, Prime Video added a slew of box sets this week, including all seven seasons of FX's gritty crime drama "The Shield."
Shawn Ryan's acclaimed crime drama ran for 88 episodes between 2002 and 2008 and follows the activities of members of an experimental police division within inner-city Los Angeles. The show centers on a gang of corrupt cops, led by Detective Vic Mackey (Michael Chiklis), as he and his "Strike Team" aides use illegal methods, ostensibly to maintain law and order in the city.
