Australia awarded a Test debut to left-arm spinner Matthew Kuhnemann and then opted to bat after skipper Pat Cummins won the toss on Friday in the second Test of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy against India at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi.
Kuhnemann, thus, is the third spinner in Australia's playing eleven, apart from the off-spinning duo of Nathan Lyon and Todd Murphy. The visitors also brought in Travis Head.
India made one change to their playing eleven, bringing in fit-again Shreyas Iyer to replace Suryakumar Yadav.
Matthew Renshaw and Scott Boland were the two who made way for Kuhnemann and Head. The visitors have just one recognized pacer in the eleven in the form of skipper Cummins.
India lead the four-match series 1-0.
