Could this be the ultimate Grand Designs project? Guernsey’s landmark Vale Mill is for sale for £2.95 million – complete with planning permission to turn it into a “James Bond-esque” new home.

First built in 1770 —rebuilt in granite in 1854— the 69-foot-tall building stands on the edge of a quarry, with views over the Guernsey coastline, towards France.
