On Sunday in Las Vegas, the Kansas City Chiefs look for their second consecutive Super Bowl title against the San Francisco 49ers in Super Bowl LVIII. Meanwhile, the 49ers are looking for their first Super Bowl win since 1995.
When the game ends, there will be just one month until the 2024 NFL league year begins. That means free agency will kick off, and players around the league will switch teams.
In Sunday’s Super Bowl between the Chiefs and 49ers, several notable players could be playing their final games for their current teams. There is no bigger free agent than Kansas City defensive tackle Chris Jones. Whether in Kansas City or elsewhere, Jones could be the NFL’s highest-paid defensive player in 2024.
No team in the NFL has more salary cap space than the Washington Commanders. And with new general manager Adam Peters coming over from the 49ers, it will be interesting to see how many former San Francisco players could follow him to Washington.
