NEW DELHI: The Airports Authority of India (AAI) has provided ambulifts to facilitate flyers with reduced mobility at 14 airports — Dehradun, Gorakhpur, Patna, Bagdogra, Darbhanga, Imphal, Vijayawada, Port Blair, Jodhpur, Belgaum, Silchar, Jharsuguda, Rajkot and Hubli.
AAI will operationalise ambulfits at six more airports — Dimapur, Jorhat, Leh, Jamnagar, Bhuj and Kanpur — by the end of this month under the government’s “Accessible India Campaign” (Sugamya Bharat Abhiyan).
