The British Restaurant Awards is an annual awards ceremony that provides an opportunity for customers to nominate and vote for the best restaurants, chefs, and culinary experiences in the UK. This year, a number of Merseyside restaurants are in the running for prestigious awards.
Hope Street’s Elite 60 has been nominated in the Best New Restaurant category. The venue opened in December 2021 with 44 covers and an exclusive private dining room upstairs.
Downstairs, there’s a cocktail bar serving a range of expertly created cocktails including classics like Pornstar Martini, Negroni, Cosmopolitan and Mojito, as well as whisky, gin, rum, vodka, tequila, and brandy based cocktails.
Manifest on Watkinson Street has been nominated in the Best Culinary Experience category. The restaurant opened its doors in March 2022, in the Baltic Triangle and offers a “modern British menu” and wine list.
The restaurant's name, plus the menu, is inspired by the Baltic Triangle’s historic shipping trade. Owner and chef, Paul Duran, has created a “modern British menu with wine firmly in mind.”
