Household budgets are facing significant pressure, caught between the persistent high cost of living and the ongoing conflict in the Middle East, with energy bills proving a particular pinch point for many.
Gareth Kloet, an energy spokesperson at GoCompare, highlights the precarious nature of the market. "The cost of energy is very volatile. At the moment, we see the regulator change the price cap quite significantly every three months, and the outlook at the moment is that the cost of energy will rise after this current price cap comes to a conclusion on June 30," he stated.
