Martin out of Mandalika after surgery on broken shoulder

Somkiat Chantra will not take part in the MotoGP French Grand Prix having been unable to fully recover from forearm surgery he underwent last week.

Raul Fernandez will be able to take part in next week’s MotoGP test at Buriram after undergoing successful surgery on his fractured finger on Thursday afternoon.

Ricciardo, who was paid off by McLaren to not race with the team this season, has been side-lined by injury three rounds into his F1 return after crashing in second practice at Zandvoort.

Ricciardo has suffered a break to the metacarpal in his left hand following a Turn 3 FP2 crash at Zandvoort. The impact with the barriers appeared to rip the steering wheel out of his hands.

The Australian was taken to hospital having crashed behind Oscar Piastri at the banked Turn 3. An X-ray confirmed he had sustained a break to the metacarpal in his left hand.

Three days before Bahrain's pre-season test, Aston Martin announced Stroll would miss testing after sustaining injuries during a training ride in Malaga the previous weekend. Those injuries were later revealed to include fractures in both wrists as well as a broken toe.

The Canadian was involved in a cycling incident in Spain while building up his fitness.
