LUCKNOW: Effectively pursuing the cases of crime against women and children, the prosecution department of the Uttar Pradesh police got five criminals sentenced to death between January 1 and March 31 this year.

LUCKNOW: Uttar Pradesh emerged as a model of law and order in the last five years and property worth Rs 2,081 crore of criminals and gangsters was seized, said Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath during a presentation of police and home department on Thursday.

LUCKNOW: Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath on Tuesday handed over letters of lease for agricultural and residential land to 63 Hindu families who were displaced in 1970 from Bangladesh (then East Pakistan). They have also been given Rs 1.20 lakh for construction of houses under the Mukhyamantri Awas Yojana.
