Last week Richard Childress Racing made official that Brown will drive its #33 Chevrolet in the 9 June Cup race, becoming the latest Supercars standout to enter the US stock car racing scene.

It’s been a true stock car rollercoaster ride and it’s hard for Brown to fathom how quickly his racing career has evolved. He is committed, however, to enjoy every opportunity that comes his way.

Richard Childress Racing officials confirmed to Autosport that the team is in discussions with Brown to drive the #33 Chevrolet in the 9 June race at the Sonoma road course.

Richard Childress Racing officials confirmed to Motorsport.com on Saturday they are in discussions with Brown to drive the No. 33 Chevrolet in the June 9 race at Sonoma (Calif.) Raceway.

Dillon, the 31-year-old grandson of Hall of Fame team owner Richard Childress, will drive Rackley’s No. 25 Chevrolet next season, beginning with the season-opener at Daytona in February.

With the stated goal to "strengthen the organization’s operations," Richard Childress Racing has promoted Andy Petree to executive vice president of the organization.
