Militants shot dead a non-local worker from Uttar Pradesh in south Kashmir’s Pulwama on Monday. In separate incident, one infiltrator was killed near the Line of Control (LoC) in north Kashmir’s Kupwara in a two-day long anti-infiltration operation.

LUCKNOW: The family of Unnao labourer Mukesh Kumar (38), who was shot dead by terrorists in Pulwama on Monday, was unaware of the tragedy that had struck them till TOI contacted local Asoha police station and showed them the victim’s photo and Aadhaar card.

A non-local worker was shot dead by militants in south Kashmir’s Pulwama on Monday. Preliminary reports suggested that he was shot from a close range in Nowpora village of Pulwama district. The victim, identified as Mukesh Kumar of Uttar Pradesh’s Tumchi area, was shifted to a hospital but succumbed to his injuries.
