PATNA: The body of a grown rhinoceros, flowing through Gandak river flood from Nepal, was found trapped in the Gandak barrage gate number 10 at Valmikinagar. VTR Director-cum-conservator of forests, Nesamani K, said the forest official of Chitwan was informed about the dead rhinoceros.

Bihar: Rogue tuskers from Nepal enter Valmiki Tiger Reserve, not traced yet

BAGAHA: A herd of five rogue elephants, including a cub, have strayed from Nepal to Bhalu Thapa forest in Valmiki Tiger Reserve (VTR) of West Champaran district. The tuskers have uprooted and damaged many signboards in the forest. VTR officials were tracking the elephants by tracing their pugmarks.
