More than a month after the Adani Group’s takeover of NDTV, the channel’s group president Suparna Singh, Chief Strategy Officer Arijit Chatterjee, Chief Technology and Product Officer Kawaljit Singh Bedi have resigned from the television broadcasting network.

“NDTV will be a credible, independent, global network with a clear lakshman rekha between management and editorial,” said Adani Group owner Gautam Adani, in his first television interview since his conglomerate acquired NDTV.

Days after the Adani Group became the largest shareholder in NDTV, the network’s founders Prannoy Roy and his wife Radhika Roy have said that they will sell 27.26 percent of their remaining 32.26 percent shareholding to the conglomerate. 

One of NDTV’s biggest investors, LTS Investment Fund limited, sold over 3.2 lakh of its shares in the company network in a bulk deal on Friday. The shares were sold for Rs 366.65 each.

The Narendra Modi government released its media advertisement expenditure in the parliament earlier this week. Since it assumed power in 2014, the government has spent Rs 6,491 crore on advertisements in print and electronic media.
