Remembering the legendary NASCAR driver Bobby Allison, whose legacy in auto racing will be forever cherished.

Bobby Allison died at the age of 86.

NASCAR Hall of Famer Jimmie Johnson is making a return to his offroad racing roots as he joins the Extreme E racing series with Legacy Motor Club.

The series, co-founded by NASCAR Hall of Famer Tony Stewart, was set to begin its fourth season in the summer of 2024.

The weekend began with the sudden passing of 2003 Indianapolis 500 winner Gil de Ferran, and ends with the death of four-time Daytona 500 winner Cale Yarborough. The three-time NASCAR Cup Series champion was undefeated between 1976 and 1978.

Known for his fierce toughness and grit, Yarborough won the Daytona 500 four times.

In his new role with the organization, Kenseth, the 2003 Cup Series champion and 2023 NASCAR Hall of Fame inductee, will provide guidance and strategy in competition areas while serving as a mentor to drivers Erik Jones and John Hunter Nemechek, who will join the team next season.

Two drivers – one from the Pioneer Ballot and one from the Modern Era Ballot – and one crew chief were elected Wednesday to become the NASCAR Hall of Fame’s class of inductees in 2024.

There are 15 total nominees for the NASCAR Hall of Fame class of 2024.
