Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel on Friday said the Enforcement Directorate’s (ED) claim that it was probing an alleged payment of about ₹508 crore by Mahadev betting app promoters to him was a joke and a malicious attempt to tarnish his image. 

The ED seized the cash purportedly from Mr. Das’s vehicle and his residence.

The lawyer for the Enforcement Directorate has said that Bollywood actor Ranbir Kapoor has requested one week time to appear before the ED regarding the summon issued to him in connection with the Mahadev betting app case.

The agency will record their statement under the provisions of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA)
