A Texas semitrailer driver rammed a stolen 18-wheeler into a public safety building where his renewal for a commercial driver's license had been rejected, authorities said. The driver was arrested.

Authorities arrested the driver, whom a local official said was denied a commercial driver’s license from the Brenham DPS station.

The bill offers no exceptions for doctors’ offices, clinics or other health facilities. Senators agreed to let those entities require unvaccinated employees to wear personal protective gear or take other “reasonable” measures to manage the spread.

AUSTIN – The GOP-led Senate agreed to give a full year of health care coverage to low-income women who’ve just given birth, but tacked on anti-abortion language that could complicate the bill’s passage.
