Louisville native among eight named to Kentucky Journalism Hall of Fame

In less than a week, the Kentucky Public Service Commission must rule on the sale of Kentucky Power to Liberty Utilities for $2.8 billion. But the PSC currently only has one commissioner. Despite not having a quorum, Gov. Andy Beshear said Thursday the sole commissioner can rule on the sale.

An increased budget for the Kentucky Department of Transportation will allow for more projects to move forward in the coming year.

Kentucky Representative Angie Hatton is a Democrat that serves Letcher and parts of Harlan and Pike counties. Hatton is opposed to the sale of Kentucky Power AEP, which serves customers in 20 eastern Kentucky counties.
