India’s first individual Olympic gold medallist Abhinav Bindra expressed the hope that India will get to host the Olympic Games in the near future. Speaking on the sidelines of the IOC’s 141st Session, Bindra said, “I hope we get to host the Olympic Games in the near future.”

The IOC Session approved the inclusion of additional wordings to the Olympic Charter to strengthen its human rights commitments. IOC President Thomas Bach termed it a major step in IOC's commitment towards respect for human rights. The IOC also aligned the Charter with the Guidelines on Athlete Expression.

“I think it was the right decision,” Coe told a news conference in Mumbai.
