TAMPA, Fla. — Four days since Hurricane Ian smashed into Southwest Florida, about 26,000 customers remain without power across the Tampa Bay region.

MIAMI — A pair of disturbances are in the Atlantic Ocean Sunday morning, one of which the National Hurricane Center estimates has a high chance of becoming a storm system by next weekend and one of which has a high chance of becoming nothing.

The storm made landfall on Sept. 18 and knocked out power to the entire island. Nearly a third of customers in Puerto Rico's westernmost municipalities are still waiting for electricity.
