The Bihar Government on October 2 released a report on the caste-based survey which has been conducted amid a case pending in the Supreme Court on the validity of such a survey. Read further on Dynamite News:

The caste survey report which only revealed the caste composition in Bihar said the Other Backward Class population in the State is 27.1286% while, the Extremely Backward Class comprises 36.0148%.

The Gobar Dhan scheme is chaging lives for women who have been cooking using cow dung cakes for their whole lives. The scheme is being implemented in Bihar, Haryana, Gujarat, and Maharashtra and is part of the Centre's Swachh Bharat Mission.

As many as 416 cases were reported in the State on Friday, with Patna recording the most at 177, followed by Munger at 33, Saran (28), Bhagalpur (27) and Begusarai (17).

At the programme, Mr. Siddiqui demanded reservation for women from backward and extremely backward communities. ‘If women with bob-cut hair, lipstick, and [talcum] powder go to Parliament, then your women will not get their rights. Give reservation to backward and extremely backward women,’ he said.
