Theft of fence poses new challenge on Bengaluru-Mysuru access controlled highway

The fence is intended to deter jaywalking. Over the past few days, theft of fencing has been reported in Channapatna and other locations along the route. Removal of the fence enables entry of pedestrians, small vehicles and livestock into the main carriageway, thus increasing the risk of accidents.
