Hollywood fashionista and Challengers icon Zendaya has spilled more deets about the upcoming Euphoria season. At least this time around, the tea about Season Three is bloody exciting rather than concerning.
Taking to Entertainment Weekly‘s The Awardist, Zendaya, who plays Rue, confirmed that Season Three of Euphoria will feature a ‘yuge time jump.
“The time jump is happening,” Zendaya shared.
“I know it’s important because there’s only high school drama you can deal with, you know?”
Despite confirming the time jump, Zendaya said she doesn’t know much about Season Three and its plot. Regardless, the Dune actor is keen to see how the characters are coping beyond the bounds of the high school beef.
“I think, to me at least, it is and will be fascinating to see and understand these characters outside of the context of high school,” she added.
“And how all the stuff that we saw when they were kids and were in high school affects the kind of adulthood they had and who they become in a much bigger world. So yeah, I’ll be interested to see what happens too.”
The golden piece of gossip from Queen Z comes after months of brutal rumours surrounding the future of Euphoria.
Earlier in the year, whispers began to circulate across the internet that claimed the teen drama would be on the chopping block following a rumoured feud between Zendaya and showrunner Sam Levinson.
It also didn’t help that Barbie Ferreira — who played (my) Euphoria icon Kat — announced that she won’t be returning for the next season. So naturally with this news, fans (and myself) were already turned off by Season Three.
With this new piece of Euphoria goss, coming from our leading gal, it appears that the ball could be rolling in regards to Season Three.
Hopefully, Kat and Fezco — portrayed by the late Angus Cloud — get the send-offs they deserve.
